A week ago we witnessed the launch of a new budget TWS earbuds from the well-known Indian audio brand pTron. The name of that TWS earbuds was pTron Bassbuds Revv. The Revv is a uniquely designed TWS earbud where the case is designed to give it a rugged look along with a modern touch.

Design and Built
The outer charging case of pTron Bassbuds Revv comes with a very unique dual-tone rugged-looking design with a round display at the front. The dual grey and black tone on the case complements a proper rugged look and the round display indicates the charge of both the earbuds – left and right.
The lid of the charging case opens from the side and pretty much everything looks great on the charging case including the display which indicates the allover battery percentage while LED light. At the bottom, we can see a USB Type-C charging port.
Opening the lid of the case we can see two earbuds that have the old semi-round in-ear design. There is a silver lining at the bottom of each bud. The allover build quality of the TWS earbuds is good and they can easily withstand a free fall from table height without any damage at all.
How to Pair?
Steps to pair the pTron Bassbuds Revv with any iOS and Android devices.
- Open the lid of the case and take out the earbuds.
- Then turn on the Bluetooth of your smartphone/ iPad/ laptop.
- Search for any wireless device.
- Then the newly found device section you can see the name ‘pTron TWS’.
- Click on the name “pTron TWS” and then it will ask to pair with the TWS earbuds.
- Accept the prompt and pair the earbuds with the device.
Audio Quality:
I have tested this earbud for almost 1 week as my primary earbuds and now I can easily say that don’t go by the flashy looks of this earbud. By the book pTron Bassbuds Revv has a large 13mm speaker drivers which are one of the best in the market, but, as it lacks a proper in-ear airtight physical design the sound from those drivers do not do any justification.
Rather the game mode works well with 50ms low latency sound. So while playing games I have not felt any major lag in the game audio. Overall if you are solely buying this for the audio experience then I will recommend you to consider something more practical which is easily available from this brand in the store.
Comfort and Usage
As mentioned earlier these earbuds are very lightweight and after fitting in the ears it will feel like nothing is in the ears. It fits comfortably in the ears and feels great, but after some time if you are not habituated to this design it might hurt your ear walls after a few hours.
All conditions-proof IPX4 sweat and water-resistant earbuds can be worn while workout. Along with this, the touch controls make it more user-friendly and accessible with any one hand.
Battery Backup
pTron Bassbuds Revv provides a total of 28Hrs Playback with Earbuds. It takes around 1.5 hours to fully charge the case with a Type-C charger.
Here we are getting a 30mAh battery in each bud and a 250mAh battery in the compact case.
Microphone
Like all the other pTron TWS earbuds I would like to focus on the microphone of the pTron Bassbuds Revv earbud as well. There seems to be one on each earpiece covered with a black mesh net which is quite impressive but one thing I noticed after a thorough outdoor usage is that it faces a distortion of voice when both the earbuds are connected with the device but you are wearing one and the other one is placed somewhere else other than putting in its case. To be exact the voice that passes through that single headphone creates distortion at the other end of the call.

Our Thought
After using it for 7 days, I am totally impressed with the design of the earbuds. Honestly, I have tested other TWS earbuds with better audio quality. The whole case of the TWS is very small and can be easily carried anywhere, needless to mention the earbuds are lightweight as well. There is no fear of falling from the ears but would recommend you all to handle it properly as it has a high tendency of falling while handling it as it is so lightweight. With the 50ms low latency offerings, ENC and average battery life of 28 hours this is one of the best earbuds in this price range.
Considering the price of Rs.1,599 you can definitely go for this pTron Bassbuds Revv TWS earbuds. I am strongly recommending this gadget as it is one of the best within this price range and might also be the only one.
