India is currently going through a boom for startups and with the wealth of talent, and youth, Reliance Industries is betting to make the country more pollution free. Among other private companies like Tata Power, Reliance wants to enter the race to make Lithium Ion batteries in India itself.

So, this will help reduce insane costs of these batteries and as demand grows, India will eventually be an exporter while also meet the demand as well. As the EV boom grows in the nation and more companies start making EVs inside countries, companies like Tata Power and Reliance will be key to carry forward the next revolution.

Mukesh Ambani did outline the strategic partnership it has made with Lithium Werks, Faradion and Ambri, to promote Green mobility while also helping itself to manufacture cutting edge products. He also outline Reliance will focus in making strong yet safe batteries with long battery life and can be fast charged as well.

With new Giga factory, Reliance will be making its own electronic equipment in-house as it progresses to 5G, cloud computing and IoT. The company aims to start production of battery packs by 2023 and scale up to a fully integrated 5 GWh annual cell to pack manufacturing facility by 2024, and further scale up to 50 GWh annual capacity by 2027.
