Champions League 22/23: The group(s) of death?

The group of death in this year’s tournament is a tie between Group C and Group G. Bayern Munich will face Barcelona yet again in the Champions League group stage, with Robert Lewandowski set to face his former employers only months after leaving them. Despite his presence, Bayern will be the favourites heading into the tie based on previous results.

The presence of Inter Milan, only makes it more difficult for the other teams to get the maximum points. And, while Viktoria Plazen would be ruled out, Sheriff Tiraspol have already showed us that anything is possible in the Champions League. So, it would be unwise to rule them out.

Group G will see Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Copenhagen compete for two spots. The competition is really close in this one, and it will be interesting to see who ends up making it through.
