IND vs WI 3rd T20I: India won by 7 wickets, takes a 2-1 lead

India defeated West Indies in the 3rd T20I, Suryakumar Yadav scored 76 runs in just 44 balls though the strike rate wasn’t that impressive. The BCCI informed Rohit Sharma has a “back spasm” and there’s confusion if the captain will continue the series.

India beat West Indies by a huge margin of 7 wickets in the third T20I held at Warner Park in Basseterre. With the victory, India is leading the five-match series at 2-1. West Indies posted a target of 165 but India had finished the game with an over in hand. This was possible due to Suryakumar Yadav’s 76 runs. Initially, the team suffered a blow since the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma had to retire due to a back spasm. From West Indies, Kyle Mayers mustered 73 runs that helped the team post a total of 164 runs for five wickets against the opposition. The series ended in a draw on Monday after West Indies won the match against India. Obed McCoy became the best bowler from West Indies taking 6 wickets and giving out only 17 runs. Well, that’s an excellent figure. Brandon king smashed a fifty whereas Devon Thomas scored impressive runs to help West Indies reach a good level. Brandom king is rising well as a middle-order batter.

Earlier, no team could chase more than 147 runs in a T20I at the Warner Park ground but with the help of Suryakumar Yadav’s impressive batting skills, India could finally chase down the target of 165 runs. The player had a dry spell after smashing a century at Nottingham but the last match brought the player back to his element. In the match he hit eight fours and four sixes.

Rishabh Pant had provided the finishinf=g touch by scoring 33 runs out of 26 balls. In the bowling department, Ashwin was quite impressive in the middle overs with a figure of 4-0-26-0 but had a lot of dot balls. Deepak Hooda had a steady over while Bhuvaneshwar Kumar had a stable figure of 4-0-35-2.
