AMD confirmed to launch Ryzen 7000 Raphael CPUs this Quarter

Lisa Su, the CEO of AMD, announced the arrival of Ryzen 7000 CPUs, RDNA 3 GPUs, and EPYC Genoa chips in the upcoming months of 2022 on the earnings call for its record Q2 2022 financials. Just a few hours ago, AMD reported a record quarter with a 70% year-over-year rise in sales, with the Data Center Revenue alone rising to $1.5 Billion in Q2 2022.

The red team’s Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPUs, code-named Raphael and based on the Zen 4 core architecture, will hit shop shelves this quarter, AMD CEO Lisa Su announced. Although the precise date hasn’t been disclosed, it appears like the September launch may be happening after all. Along with four processors that are probably going to make up the initial “X” series lineup, the launch will also contain brand-new 600-series motherboards, including the X670E and X670, which are anticipated to be a part of the first wave.

Additionally, AMD maintained that its “High-End” RDNA 3 GPUs would go on sale later this year. This launch resembles that of the RDNA 2 and Zen 3 launches, which happened to be months apart. The RDNA 3 Radeon RX 7000 GPUs may be teased at the Ryzen 7000 launch, however the real launch would occur in either October or November.

AMD is prioritising the high-end market, its top-tier product will go off against NVIDIA’s top-tier Ada Lovelace graphics cards.

Finally, AMD has confirmed that the release of its EPYC 9000 “Genoa” CPUs is scheduled for the end of this year. The business has already noticed a significant increase in demand for Genoa and is aiming to release Bergamo “Zen 4C” by the beginning of 2019 in addition to the 3D V-cache enhanced Genoa-X chips in 2022.
