The Last of Us Part 1 remake for PS5 launching “very soon”

Early September will see the release of The Last of Us Part I for the PS5, but Sony has announced that a PC remake is also “in production.” A growing number of Sony’s first-party games have been released on PC, although fans have often had to wait at least a year (and often much longer) for a port. According to Jonathan Benainous, the lead ambient texture artist for Naughty Dog’s remake, it appears that might be the case.

We have no idea what “very soon” actually means. sixty days? How many months? still less? The wait for The Last of Us Part I on PC doesn’t seem to be the customary year or more, though.

Discover The Last of US’s moving tale and enduring characters, which have earned it over 200 Game of the Year accolades. Joel, a worn-out protagonist, is recruited to transport 14-year-old Ellie out of a military quarantine zone in a devastated civilization where sick and hardened survivors are prevalent.

But what begins as a simple task quickly develops into a torturous cross-country odyssey. Includes the whole The Last of Us single-player story as well as the acclaimed Left Behind prologue chapter, which explores the occasions that permanently altered Ellie and Riley’s lives.

The Last of Us Part 1 launches on PS5 on September 2. A PC release date has yet to be revealed.
