Kessie played all three games in the ongoing pre-season friendlies. After starting the match against the Spanish team Olot, he appeared against Inter Miami and Real Madrid in the ongoing US tour. Though he hadn’t recorded a goal or assist in these pre-season friendlies, he impressed with outstanding performances in every game. After observing his performance against the arch-rivals Real Madrid, the Catalan club is hugely satisfied with the Ivorian.

In the pre-season friendlies, Haaland first time appeared for the Sky Blues on 23rd July when they faced the German Bundesliga club Bayern Munich at Green Bay, United States.
