Real Madrid want Benzema’s back-up who can score a guaranteed 10-12 goals: Who can they sign?

It is widely understood that Real Madrid will not be making any more signings this summer. They have confirmed the arrivals of Antonio Rudiger and Aurelien Tchouameni as of now.

And according to Carlo Ancelotti, their team is complete for the season with few chances of a new face. But, given their recent loss against Barcelona, a glaring problem has come to the surface that must be addressed – a viable backup for Karim Benzema.

Real Madrid want a new back-up striker: Who can they sign?

According to some reports, Real Madrid want an experienced player around 30 years of age that can guarantee 10-12 goals per season. Young forward Juanmi Latasa has been linked with a move, but his inexperience won’t be enough to guarantee the goals.

Real Madrid have let go of Luka Jovic, who has joined Fiorentina. Mariano Diaz is on his way out as well, while Borja Mayoral is close to joining Getafe. As a result, a supersub is exactly what Carlo Ancelotti’s team needs to be complete.

Given Inter Milan want to offload Edin Dzeko, the Bosnian could be a great option. However, he is 36 and his age might be a deterrent. Former Torino striker and Italy international Andrea Belotti is a free agent, and at 28, could be a great signing for Ancelotti to include in his team.

Edinson Cavani is another possible solution for Madrid’s problems. The Uruguayan wants to play La Liga football and has experience of making an impact from the bench. However, he is also well into his 30s, and his fitness could be an issue.
