Barcelona defeated rivals Real Madrid 1-0 in their pre-season Clasico held at Las Vegas. A lively crowd was there to enjoy the heated game, even though it was called a pre-season friendly.

Robert Lewandowski made his first start for his new club alongside Ansu Fati and Raphinha on either flank. Xavi’s 4-3-3 ended up resulting in a great number of smooth passages. The Blaugrana had little trouble breaking down Real Madrid’s defense with their quick passing and movement. And they also pressured the Champions League winners into defensive mistakes.

Karim Benzema was absent for the clash, and Eden Hazard was deployed in a false 9. The Frenchman’s absence was strongly felt, as Madrid struggled to create any chances despite remaining competitive throughout the 90.

There were a number of heated exchanges during the game, with new signings Antonio Rudiger and Aurelien Tchouameni getting involved. Andreas Christensen also made his first start for Barcelona against Los Blancos, keeping a clean sheet with Ronald Araujo playing right-back.

Federico Valverde had a great chance to score for the Champions League winners, but his effort hit the crossbar. Raphinha would score the only goal of the game to give Barcelona the win. The Brazilian scored from well outside the box, and his magical effort was enough to win the game.
