West Ham trying to sign Filip Kostic from Frankfurt for £35.5 million

West Ham United are working to add to their squad this summer. The Premier League club are close to completing a move for Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo. And now, they are working to sign Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic as well. 

Initial talks for the transfer have been started between the two clubs. And in the coming days, there should be more information related to the transfer. The transfer fee for the player is around £35.5 million, with further add-ons and the structure of the deal being discussed.

The Serbian scored four goals and provided nine assists in the Bundesliga this past season. He also played a very important role in their Europa League win, and is now expected to take on a new challenge in England. 

Filip Kostic has among the highest number of assists in the world since 2018. His presence in the team would help create many more chances than they currently do. On the other hand, the arrival of Scamacca would help them increase their scoring rates. And as a result, challenge for an ambitious finish during the upcoming season.

Chelsea’s Armando Broja was being discussed as a potential target for the Hammers. However, talks have stalled right now due to Thomas Tuchel potentially having him in his team for the coming season.
