Brazilian talent Endrick signs first professional contract with Palmeiras at 16

If you’ve never heard of him before, then now is the best time to get familiar. Brazilian winger Endrick has turned 16 years old and has signed his first professional contract with Palmeiras.

The youngster is set to be the next big export from Brazil. He hasn’t even made his debut for the Palmeiras first team yet, and already has several top European clubs fighting over his signature. In the coming years, it will be very interesting to see where he ends up playing his football.

Endrick signs first professional contract with Palmeiras

The deal signed by the youngster is a three-year one, which will be valid until he is 19 years old. It also has a €60 million release clause, which any club can pay and sign him from the Brazilian club.

The hype around Endrick is comparable to that which surrounded Neymar. Since then, the latter has gone on to have an illustrious career with Barcelona and now, PSG. There is hope that the newly-turned 16-year-old will be able to replicate the same trajectory.

By the numbers, his tally is as impressive as it gets. The winger has scored 165 goals in 169 youth appearances, which is a crazy return. He made a name for himself during the Copinha, scoring seven goals during the tournament and leading Palmeiras to their first title win in 53 years.

It is now time for him to showcase his talent in the Brazilian top flight, and soon, Europe shall follow.
