PSG agree €30m fee for Hugo Ekitike with Reims

Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement for the transfer of Hugo Ekitike from Reims. The transfer has been given the here we go signal by Fabrizio Romano, which means that it is only a matter of time before the move is made official. 

Newcastle United were interested in signing the young striker, but had their offer rejected by Reims. But now, they have accepted the offer of the Qatari club for their prodigy. He will be completing his medical for the transfer soon, and will become a new PSG player in the coming days.

The forward made 24 appearances this past season in Ligue 1, scoring ten goals. As a result, he has shown that he can deliver on the domestic level. And with Christophe Galtier fronting the team, it will be exciting to see how he can develop. 

Hugo Ekitike becomes the second new signing for the French giants this summer, after the arrival of Vitinha. The two arrivals have shown the change in philosophy at the club, with Luis Campos in charge of recruitment. 

Reims will receive a transfer fee worth €30 million upfront plus add-ons. He will be a part of the first team, and will not be loaned back to Reims for the season. After the forward, Campos is looking to sign Renato Sanches from Lille, although they will face competition from AC Milan for the midfielder.
