Manchester United have reached an agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Lisandro Martinez. The two clubs have finalised a fee worth €55 million including add-ons.

Lisandro Martinez to join Manchester United for €55 million

The Argentinian has agreed a five-year deal with Manchester United until 2027, which will be signed once he arrives in England. Personal terms have never been an issue, and the two clubs only needed to reach an agreement on the transfer fee. After the meeting in the Netherlands, that has been finalised.

Lisandro Martinez will become the third signing of the summer for Erik Ten Hag, after Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen. He had an offer from Arsenal as well, but personally rejected their advances because he wanted to move to Old Trafford. Once the formalities surrounding the transfer have been completed, he will be officially announced as a new United player.

Ajax’s Antony could also be on his way to reunite with Ten Hag this summer. United have registered their interest in the Brazilian, but are yet to progress in talks since the asking price for him is quite high.
