In the second ODI at the Lord’s Cricket Ground, Reece Topley shone with the ball as England overcame India by a score of 100 runs. With this victory, the hosts evened the three-match series going into Sunday’s decider in Manchester.

India were dismissed for a pitiful 146 after chasing a score of 247 in 38.5 overs. The series was decisively levelled by Reece Topley’s six-wicket haul. The greatest England bowler at Lord’s, Topley returned with stats of six for 24.

With the England bowlers swooping in from the opening ball, India’s chase hardly ever got off the ground.

Earlier in the current ODI at the Lord’s Cricket Stadium in London, Yuzvendra Chahal shone with the ball as India knocked out England for 246. With openers Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow, England had a solid start after being sent into bat.

Shikhar Dhawan was able to collect just nine points off of 26 balls, while captain Rohit Sharma and afterwards Rishabh Pant both went down for a duck. Before nicking a wide delivery behind, as has become customary for the former India captain, Virat Kohli looked excellent for his 25-ball 16 runs.

India made their first stride forward as Hardik Pandya struck out Roy. Chahal, who also defeated Joe Root and Ben Stokes, then dismissed Bairstow.

Jos Buttler was bowled by Mohammed Shami to deter him from exerting himself, but Moeen Ali and David Willey’s respective scores of 47 and 41 helped England post a formidable total.

Along with Prasidh Krishna, Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah also finished their periods with two wickets each.
