As Lenovo’s Yoga series of laptops completes 10 years of its launch, it launched new Yoga laptops in India with Intel’s latest 12th Gen processors. The company has launched new Yoga 9i, Yoga Slim 7i Pro, and Yoga 7i laptops in India, specifically designed for hybrid lifestyles.
The all-new Yoga premium laptops pair the smart adaptive performance of Lenovo’s X Power with the brilliant visuals of Lenovo’s PureSight Display. Launched at the #ExperienceSmarter event, all of these laptops are equipped with 12th generation Intel® Core™ processors, faster graphics, improved battery performance, and sustainable design to further Lenovo’s Smarter Innovation for consumers.
With its new consumer and gaming laptops, the AI-powered Yoga laptops are designed to anticipate user interaction and push the limits of smarter, high-performance gaming and content creation. Lenovo Yoga 9i
The top-of-the-line new Yoga 9i laptop houses Intel’s latest 12th Gen processors, here with up Intel® Core™ i7-1280P with 14 cores (6P + 8E) and 20T threads to give a maximum performance while still weighing only 1.4Kg. For creators, you still have a decent Intel Iris® Xe Graphics, helping during productivity and normal everyday workloads.
On top of this, the Yoga 9i offers up to 16GB Soldered LPDDR5-5200 RAM and 1TB SSD M.2 2280 PCIe® 4.0×4 NVMe SSD for extreme performance. You do have the option to upgrade the storage but not the RAM, on the display front, 14-inch 4K WQUXGA (3840×2400) touch OLED display, covering 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
Also, the display of Yoga 9i is DisplayHDR™ HDR 500 certified, supports Dolby Vision and has a peak brightness of up to 400nits. The screen also comes with TÜV low blue light eye protection certification 6 to reduce harmful blue light. You do have stereo speakers, 3W x 2 (woofers on the side), 2W x 2 (front-facing tweeters on hinge bar) optimized with Dolby® Atmos for the enhanced sound experience.
You will be glad to know Lenovo has upgraded to an FHD 1080p & IR webcam with Privacy Shutter on this Yoga 9i laptop and the 75Wh battery is touted to provide good battery life to consumers. With Backlit keyboard and connectivity options like Wi-Fi® 6E 11ax 2×2 and Bluetooth 5.2, also it is a certified Intel® Evo™ Platform laptop. The Lenovo Yoga 7i is targeted more toward a wide range of consumers who need a reliable and premium option at a good price point. This new Yoga 7i features up to a 12-core Intel® Core™ i7-1260P processor paired with up to 16GB Soldered LPDDR5-4800 RAM and 512GB SSD M.2 2242 PCIe® 4.0×4 NVMe SSD.
Much like the Yoga 9i, here too the RAM is not upgradable but the storage is while on the audio front, you have 2W x 4 (2x woofers, 2x tweeters) speakers again optimized with Dolby Atmos. For a better video call experience, Lenovo has again used an FHD 1080p & IR webcam with Privacy Shutter.
On the Yoga 7i, you don’t have a 4K display but you get a 14-inch 2.8K OLED touch display with (2880×1800) resolution with up to 400nits peak brightness and 90Hz refresh rate. Also, the display covers 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and is also DisplayHDR™ True Black 500 certified along with Dolby Vision™ support. Lenovo has also implemented TÜV low blue light eye protection across all its premium Yoga laptops which is really great.
Weighing around 1.42 kg, it is definitely not the lightest and coming to connectivity you have the same Wi-Fi® 6E 11ax 2×2 and Bluetooth 5.2 combo. This Lenovo Yoga 7i also passes the Intel® Evo™ Platform and has a wide range of ports accessible:

If you need a more affordable version, go for the Yoga Slim 7i Pro which is slightly a cut-down version of the Yoga 7i but has similar specs. It ships with the same 12-core Intel® Core™ i7-1260P processor paired with up to 16GB Soldered LPDDR5-4800 RAM and 512GB SSD M.2 2242 PCIe® 4.0×4 NVMe SSD.

The display is almost the same with a 14-inch 2.8K touch IPS display with (2880×1800) resolution with up to 400nits peak brightness and 90Hz refresh rate. However, this display is not as color accurate as the Yoga 7i covers 100% sRGB color gamut rather than 100% DCI-P3 color gamut because it’s an IPS panel.
The 61Wh battery here should give decent battery life according to Lenovo and is also Intel® Evo™ Platform verified. In terms of connectivity, you have the same Wi-Fi® 6E 11ax 2×2 and Bluetooth 5.1 combo. While for ports you have:
