Intel Arc Alchemist A770M and A550M GPUs Appeared in their 3DMark Scores

Only a small portion of the Intel Arc Alchemist mobile series has been released in China so far. This is slowly starting to change as Intel introduces its entry-level A370M GPUs to new markets, but it’s still difficult to find the more potent variants based on the larger Alchemist GPU: A550M, A730M, and A770M.

The A550M and A770M GPUs are shown in the 3DMark software leak from Rogaine. Unfortunately, both results raise more concerns than they do answers, but this indicates that testing has begun for these cards, suggesting that the launch should happen in a matter of weeks rather than months.

Using an outdated 1726 driver, the A550M SKU, which has 16 Xe-Cores and half of the ACM-G10 GPU cores, achieved a score of 6017 in 3DMark Time Spy. Unfortunately, this test violates 3DMark standards since Intel APO (Advanced Performance Optimizations) was active when it was run.

According to what we previously observed, APO represents a roughly 15% better score. On the other side, A730M is still 67 percent faster than A550M with 50% more cores when compared to A730M with APO.

The Intel Arc A770M performed well in the Fire Strike Extreme test, earning 13244 points in the graphics category.

Based on data from the 3DMark database, this score is comparable to that of an RTX 3070 Laptop GPU running with the same CPU (Core i7-12700H). Before releasing new hardware, this discrete GPU has been evaluated using a test driver (version 9999) that is frequently used by OEMs and system integrators. However, it’s not apparent if APO is activated in this particular version.

However, it should be remembered that Intel has previously certified the A770official M’s performance. In games, this card ought to perform 12 percent quicker than the RTX 3060M. Therefore, with real-world gaming tests where Intel still has a lot more optimization to go, leaked 3DMark ratings are once again wholly inaccurate.
