BREAKING: Christian Eriksen to join Manchester United on a 3-year deal imminently

Manchester United have verbally agreed a three-year contract with Christian Eriksen for a free transfer. The transfer is subject to the completion of a medical, and has been confirmed by multiple sources.

In the case of most transfers, there would not be an issue with the medical. But, due to him having a defibrillator installed, it might be a hurdle for him. However, there is optimism that he will soon become a new player for the Red Devils.

Christian Eriksen to sign for Manchester United

The Danish midfielder will be the second major signing for Manchester United this summer. The club confirmed the arrival of Tyrell Malacia recently, and are looking to add more key players in multiple positions.

Christian Eriksen had a good financial offer from Brentford as well, but decided to move to Old Trafford instead. The transfer is subject to the medical being completed and the formalities being discussed hereafter. But, there are good feelings surrounding the move so far.

During Denmark’s first match of Euro 2020, the player suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch and had to be hospitalised. He had to leave Inter Milan thereafter because there are laws against footballers playing with cardiac devices in Italy.

After training alone, and then with Ajax’s reserve squad, he returned to football with Brentford and eventually, the national team. Now, he is set for his next big challenge with a move to Manchester United all set to be confirmed.
