Infinix announces 180W Thunder Charge, coming to a flagship later this year

Infinix has revealed the solemnly speed 180W Thunder Charge Technology, which will debut on preferred Infinix flagship phones that will be announced in the second half of the year.

The improved new technology will facilitate users to attain the time for a 1-50% charge of the 4500mAh battery in just four minutes, offering users a speedier and safer developed smart device charging experience.

“Following last year’s 160W speed charging Concept Phone release, 180W Thunder Charge is another industry discovery that provides super-fast charging technology to the users. It targets to keep advancing daily competence through repetition and revolution of speed charging technology so that people around the world can be the first to experience well organized and appropriate digital life,” said Manfred Hong, Senior Product Director of Infinix.

Infinix: Industry-leading 180W Charging Technology

Ultra-speed charging has never been as extensive as it is today and with the manufacture of secure methods of charging at a bigger voltage rate, the technology is becoming more and more popular in moderate devices.

Regular smartphones with speed charging features commonly use batteries with a charging rate of 1 to 3C, while 180W Thunder Charge uses batteries with a rate of 8C, which adequately lessens the chances of the battery charring due to the speed charging technology.

It conspired with the world’s dominant battery producers to develop a new 8C battery cell, which is the maximum charging rate repackable lithium battery in the industry at present. The 8C cell has to abase internal resistance when compared with the standard single electrode lug structure, the 8C cell has a multi-electrode lug, which lessens more than 50% of the internal resistance and generates less heat.

Moreover, the 180W Thunder Charge uses two 8C-rated batteries in series, so the charging power of each battery is only 90W while being charged, lessening heat and increasing continuance.

180W Thunder Charge also embraces automatic bidirectional-power supply technology to increase the phone’s battery life by 2% compared to chronic double-cell battery-designed phones. The automatic bidirectional power supply technology lessens the area of the power supply circuit by 60%, increases the correctness of the circuit layout, and saves space.

The charging technology works using effective distribution. Three parallel charge pumps support the largest powered conversion yet on a device, attaining 99% charging conversion adaptability, which averts overburdens and overheating. This is the apex of their charging technology to date.
