Qatar has a strict law on a one-night stand or sex outside marriage. According to media reports, if a person is found guilty in the involvement of having sex outside of marriage in Qatar, the person can be punished with up to a one-year term in jail.

However, the non-profit Human Dignity Trust has a different claim about the punishment for a one-night stand in Qatar. The trust has reportedly claimed that the guilty person can face up to seven years in prison for violating this law in the country.

The organizing committee officials have recently confirmed that they have received around 40 million requests in the two phases of online ticket sales for the upcoming edition of the FIFA World Cup. There are almost three million ticket requests only for the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022.
