The Lincoln Lawyer (Season 2): Expectation
The quick recap from the first season as we dive into what we could and also can expect should the show return for a second season. We can follow Micky Haller who just has been thrown at the deep end just after inheriting the practice and cases of jerry Vincent.
In the first season, the biggest case is Trevor Elliot. While Elliot just got off the hook into the court as he met his demise after being shot. There are no such updates on whether Elliot committed the crime alleged against him anyway.
Micky who came on to the other side has been completely signed off and is also able to resume their working in his cases by following the long absences from the progression.
The first season ends with Micky to be able for surd again but the man with a tattoo who just has been lingering in the background in the entire season 1 has seen from afar in the series that cuts to credits.
The series may be going to adapt the second book in the series more than repeating much of the first which we can see them play out in the Matthew McConaughey film. There had also such tweaks but we have stuck into the same story as the source material.
We have the order of the books and where we could be head off in each season from now on:
- The Brass Verdict adapted in season 1
- The Reversal
- The Fifth Witness
- The Gods of Guilt
- The Law of Innocence
Now, we know that Netflix will be adapting The Fifth Witness for season 2. There is a rundown on what happened in the book courtesy of GoodReads:
“Mickey Haller has fallen on tough times. He expands his business into foreclosure defence, only to see one of his clients be accused of killing the banker she blames for trying to take away her home.
Mickey puts his team into the high gear to exonerate Lisa Trammel, even though the evidence and his own suspicions just tell him his client is guilty. Soon after he learns that the victim had black market dealings of his own, Haller is assaulted, too- and he’s certain he’s on the right trail.
Despite the danger and uncertainty, Haller mounts the best defense of his career in a trial where the last surprise comes after the verdict is in.”
It has seen that The Reversal adapted for a future season in which case we had seen Haller move to the other side of the Aisle and work like prosecution on a case. Recently, DigitalSpy notes, that they could also move to one of the books that would reveal Haller as implicated in a murder.
Cisco is facing his own problems also. He just walked away from the Saints but Mickey has been left to lift the tab. Now, the main question is what will be the outcome of it, it is good or bad.
A big thanks for the source.
