For the next ten years, Apple has decided to offer every Major League Soccer (MLS), the tech giant will start it from early 2023 through 2032 in the Apple TV app, the two of the organizations declared a major deal that just dropped on Tuesday.

There are many games still air on the linear TV networks just like ESPN and FOX, now this provides Apple with such a global exclusive on an NFL Sunday Ticket-style offering for the league.

In a press release Apple confirms that like the other streaming services, all the soccer fans will be able to subscribe to the latest, currently unnamed MLS streaming services that will be accessible “exclusively through the Apple TV app”.

For the Apple TV Plus subscribers, there will be a “broad selection” of MLS and Leagues Cup matches along with a limited number of matches for free.  The full-screen ticket-holder will get access to the new streaming service as well. The most controversial fact is unlike many sports screening deals, there will be no such local blackouts or limitations.

Apple and the MLS have not been detailed when we can able to sign up for the service or how much it would take and it just provides the information that will be declared in “the coming months.” Sports Business Journal reports confirm that Apple is going to pay $250 million per year to the MLS for such games beginning in 2023.

For sports lovers, the MLS partnership is a big step from Apple’s relatively small offering of Major League Baseball games on Fridays and it indicates that the live sports could become a priority for the future service plans. It has been rumored that Apple is vying for the actual NFL Sunday Ticket just like the rumors that linked Netflix to a bid with the rights of Formula 1. The other streamers are having live sports deals like Amazon and the NFL, HBO Max with the NHL and Soccer, and several offerings of Peacock.
