Xiaomi India announces battery replacement program starting at just ₹499

Xiaomi has announced a new battery restoration program for its buyers in India. The company has announced that buyers can get their device’s battery detected at the Mi Service Centre. Buyers can restore the battery for an ostensible amount in case it has any problems.

Users with a Redmi or Xiaomi smartphone can restore their device’s battery. It stated that the battery can be restored with a beginning price of Rs 499. To get their device’s battery checked, buyers can head to the Xiaomi Authorised Service.

Xiaomi Battery Restoration Program

It has been announced that buyers can pay Rs 499 for restoring the battery on their Xiaomi/ Redmi smartphones under a new program. Users need to go to the nearest Xiaomi authorized service center to get more details about the same.

If your device is quite old, chances are that the battery is exhausting faster than usual. This could be due to constant charging or the cells in the battery getting fragile to maintain charge. To get an exhilarating user experience, Xiaomi and Redmi smartphone users need to get their devices checked at the authorized service center.

If the battery health is lesser than advised, users can restore the battery at a beginning price of Rs 499. The price could change depending on the device and the battery model itself.

Users can head to the nearest authorized service center to get details about the battery’s price and warranty information. If required, they can also book an appointment to restore the battery.

Importance of replacing a faulty battery

Advanced smartphones come with a lot of technology to make sure that the device’s lithium-ion battery is safe to use and offers maximum juice. However, with time, the battery health crumbles after long use, resulting in faster battery drain. This could lower the overall battery charge capacity, which in turn would result in lower screen-on time (SoT)/ standby time.

The SoC packed inside the phone might also bruke the performance of the device if the battery is draining faster. This is done so that the SoC does not consume more battery, which in turn could convert to marginally better battery life.
