Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has confirmed the signing of Ryan Gravenberch from Ajax. While speaking to Bild am Sonntag, the Bayern Munich chief asserted that the midfielder has signed his contract for the move.

“He signed,” said Salihamidžić. “We’ve completed the deal and we’re very happy that he’s here and can get started with us. He has great strengths, great technique and is able to resolve situations in tight spaces. With his dynamism, he can drive the ball forward, is a goal threat but can also defend. He will take the next step with us.”

The player has seemingly confirmed his switch to the Bundesliga champions as well. Speaking upon his arrival in Munich, he said: ‘Bayern is a big club. I think you have to win big titles here.

‘And that’s also what I expect. I’m happy to be here in Munich now.’

Bayern have been working to sign Ryan Gravenberch for several months. And now, they finally have their man. The Dutch international has signed a contract until June 2027. The transfer fee involved to bring him to Germany is around €30 million including add-ons.

Gravenberch’s Ajax teammate, Noussair Mazraoui, has also made the switch to Bayern. The right-back signed for Die Roten upon the expiry of his contract with the Dutch champions, and has made the switch as a free agent. By the end of the transfer window, Liverpool winger Sadio Mane could also become a new addition to their squad.
