Alessandro Florenzi will be leaving Roma and joining AC Milan permanently, with an agreement struck between the two clubs for a permanent move. The buy option triggered will be less than €4.5 million, according to Fabrizio Romano, and the deal is set to be completed soon.

After spending the 20/21 season on loan at PSG, the Italian was sent out on another spell. This time, AC Milan signed him on a loan with the option to buy. The player only wanted to stay with the Rossoneri after lifting the Serie A title with them, and the final agreement will be struck very soon.

Davide Calabria has emerged as the first choice right-back for Stefano Pioli in the starting line-up. The AC Milan academy graduate now wears the captain’s armband on the field, and is among the best in his position in the league.

As a result, Alessandro Florenzi will have to be content with a rotational option. The 31-year-old made 24 appearances in Serie A this past season, and scored two goals. In Calabria’s absence, he has proven to be a great option for Pioli.

AC Milan are prepared to bolster their squad for the coming season. They are all set to announce the signing of Divock Origi, and are also in talks with Lille for Renato Sanches and Sven Botman. The Rossoneri need to agree a deal for both of them, and are facing competition from other clubs as well.
