Apple has just added a Multi-Stop Routing Function in its Maps Application with iOS 16

Apple unveiled a variety of new Maps capabilities at its Worldwide Developers Conference, which will be available with iOS 16. The company is introducing a new “multistop routing,” which allows you to arrange up to 15 stops ahead of time. Users can plan multistop routes on their Macs and then send them to their iPhones when they’re ready to leave.

You can ask Siri to add more stops to your route while you’re driving. Apple is also making it simple for riders to view fares that illustrate how much their trip will cost. Transit cards can now be added to your Apple Wallet.

In addition to France, Switzerland, New Zealand, Belgium, Israel, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Palestinian Territories, Saudi Arabia, and the Netherlands, Apple is introducing its new map to 11 more nations. Cycling, looking about, and other features have been added to the revised map. Australia, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, the United States, and the United Kingdom have all received the new map.

Apple is improving MapKit for developers, starting with its new city experience, which includes information about landmarks, highways, and more

Companies like Bird can now integrate these accurate maps into their apps, making it easier for customers to find bikes and scooters to move around an area.

Apple’s Look Around functionality is also coming to MapKit, making it easier to incorporate high-resolution imagery from maps into apps like Zillow. Users will be able to enjoy an immersive ground-level view while viewing properties, according to the business. Apple also plans to release new server-side APIs later this year that will allow developers access to speedier and more flexible ways to create map experiences.
