Mohammedan Sporting Club’s investor Bunkerhill isn’t reportedly happy

After East Bengal have gone through a long struggle to find their investors, another Kolkata football club Mohammedan Sporting Club are now reportedly facing key disputes with their investor as Bunkerhill Private Limited is reportedly unhappy with the recent process of the club.

From 2022/23 season, ISL is going to be India’s only top tier men’s professional football league, while I-League is now set to be counted as the second tier men’s professional football league in India.

Meanwhile, the I-League 2021/22 runners-up Mohammedan SC are targeting to enter the Indian Super League (ISL) soon.

According to media reports, Bunkerhill Private Limited currently holds 50% stake of the Mohammedan SC.

Some of the latest media reports have claimed that Bunkerhill has wanted to raise their stake of the club to around 51%. However, the officials have reportedly objected this proposal as the club is reportedly looking to add bigger investor.

Dipak Kumar Singh, the founder and chairman of BunkerHill Sports, recently posted in his facebook account, “So it is not happening . Really disappointed . I will rethink my future association.”

Though there was no clear mention anything about the club, some media reports are assuming this post as his frustration over the club.

However, according to the latest Aaj Tak Bangla report, the dispute isn’t big yet.

A club official told Aaj Tak Bangla, “I have talked to Deepak. They want 51 percent shares. We have no problem on that, but we have to give a little time. How can I agree without reading or seeing everything? I told them to come up with a proposal, after which we would let them. There is no dispute here.”

Commenting on Dipak Kumar Singh’s recent facebook post, the official added, “He also told me about this, at one time his head got a little hot so he did it. I also told him to keep patience. We need to talk everyone. We have to see what is there. This is not only our club.”

According to earlier reports of News9 Sports, Mohammedan secretary Danish Iqbal revealed their potential talks with top European clubs Fulham, Besiktas and Juventus.
