In the fallout of Liverpool’s Champions League final defeat against Real Madrid, Sadio Mane has decided to leave the club this summer. He has made his final decision, and it will be communicated to the club now that the season is over.

The Senegal international said that he would wait until the final of the Champions League to announce his decision. And now, his future lies away from Anfield after spending six years with the Merseyside club, and winning every available trophy with them.

The 30-year-old has one year remaining on his current deal with Liverpool. So far, he hasn’t been able to reach an agreement with the club for a new contract. But that will not be a factor anymore since he will be moving on from the Premier League altogether.

Bayern Munich are leading the race to sign Sadio Mane this summer. They were being respectful until the Champions League final and weren’t pushing to complete the deal. But now that the season is officially over, the German giants will try to get the deal over the line soon.

The two clubs are yet to negotiate about the player, but Bayern are confident that they will be the ones to sign the player. Serge Gnabry might end up leaving the club this summer, and it could be a straight swap in the squad for the Germany international as well.
