RB Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer a serious target for Bayern Munich in June 2022

Konrad Laimer is a priority transfer target for Bayern Munich this summer. The RB Leipzig midfielder has been on the transfer list of the Bundesliga champions since last summer, but they haven’t been able to get the edge in negotiations.

To sign him this summer, Bayern are preparing an opening bid worth €18 to 20 million. Leipzig’s asking price for the midfielder is yet unknown, but it will be very difficult for Bayern to convince them regarding a transfer.

Konrad Laimer has been on their transfer list since last summer

The Austria international has been key to RB Leipzig’s performance over the last few seasons. Julian Nagelsmann wanted him to join Bayern last summer, but with Marcel Sabitzer and Dayot Upamecano already making the move, it was very difficult for a third player to leave for the same club.

Konrad Laimer’s contract with RB Leipzig runs out in June 2023, and he hasn’t agreed to an extension yet. So, the Red Bull club will have to sell their man to avoid losing him for free at the end of the next season.

The 24-year-old came through the RB Salzburg academy before making the move to the German Bundesliga. As a result, he has been part of the Red Bull group since the start of his career, and would finally leave if he agrees a move to Die Roten when the transfer window opens.
