Cristiano Ronaldo’s disappointing 21/22 with Manchester United leaves future up in the air

Cristiano Ronaldo is enduring one of the most challenging seasons of his entire career. If he stays at Manchester United next season, he will be missing out on Champions League football for the first time in his career.

The all-time top goalscorer in the Champions League has a big decision to make in the summer. If he wants to play in the top flight of Europe, he will have to move away from Old Trafford after returning last summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United future does not look promising

The 37-year-old has been one of the main reasons why Manchester United are still in contention for European football next year. He has scored 24 goals in 37 games across all competitions, and is the team’s top scorer.

Considering the lack of end product from his teammates in the final third, this is a very remarkable performance from the veteran. He has also stepped up to save the team single-handedly on several occasions, but has been let down by his teammates throughout the season.

The defeat against Brighton was the final nail in the coffin for United’s ambitions of potentially finishing in the top four. And now, their chances of playing in the Europa League are not very solid either. With West Ham United having a game in hand, the outcome is out of their control.

PSG and Real Madrid are reportedly keeping tabs on Cristiano Ronaldo’s situation. And if he wishes to leave this summer, it could be to one of these clubs.
