Lenovo unveils new Yoga Slim 9 and 7 series laptops with AMD and Intel’s latest processors

On Monday, Lenovo released the latest generation of Yoga Slim clamshell laptops in the United States. The Yoga Slim 9i, Yoga Slim 7i, Yoga Slim7i Pro X, Yoga Slim 7i Carbon, Yoga Slim 7, Yoga Slim 7 Pro, and the Yoga 7 are among the new laptop models announced by the Chinese laptop manufacturer.

The ThinkPad lineup was previously upgraded at CES 2021. In the United States, the new laptops will be known as Slim, while in other places, they will be known as Slim Yoga. Lenovo Smart Lock Services, a cloud-based service that allows users to remotely locate, lock, delete, and recover stolen devices, will be available in June.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i specifications

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i is equipped with Intel Core i7-1280P processors, Intel Iris Xe graphics, and up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Up to 1TB of NVMe SSD storage is included with the laptop. According to Lenovo, the Yoga Slim 9i features a 14-inch 2.8K (2,880×1,800 pixels) PureSight OLED display with up to 400 nits of peak brightness, as well as a 14-inch 4K (3,8402,400 pixels) display option.

A full-HD+ infrared camera with an electronic shutter is included with the laptop. Two 2W and two 3W Bowers & Wilkins tuned speakers are included. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i features Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth, as well as three Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 3.5mm audio connector. The laptop weighs 1.37kg and dimensions 315 x 214.4 x 14.9mm. It has a 75Wh battery.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro X specifications

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro X comes with up to 12th Generation Intel Core i7- 12700H CPUs, AMD Radeon graphics, and up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It can store up to 1TB of NVMe SSD data. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro X has a touchscreen display and a 14.5-inch 3K (3,072×1,920 pixels) PureSight IPS display with up to 400 nits of peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro X specifications

The recently released Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro X has identical characteristics to the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro X, including up to AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS Creator Edition processors and up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It can store up to 1TB of NVMe SSD data. According to Lenovo, the Yoga Slim 7 Pro X features a 14.5-inch 3K (3,072×1,920 pixels) PureSight IPS display with up to 400 nits of peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as a touchscreen display option.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro X has two 2W Harman speakers with Dolby Atmos audio and a full-HD+ infrared camera with an electronic shutter. A 14-inch 2.8K (2,880×1,800 pixels) OLED display with up to 400 nits of peak brightness and a 90Hz refresh rate comes standard on the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro. The laptop will be offered in IPS display variations with 90Hz and 120Hz refresh rates, as well as a 14-inch 2.2K (2,2401,400 pixels) IPS display option, similar to the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro.

The Lenovo Yoga 7 includes a 2-megapixel infrared camera with a privacy shutter and four 2-watt speakers. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i costs $1,799 (approximately Rs. 1,37,300), the Yoga Slim 7i Pro X costs $1,699 (roughly Rs. 1,29,700), and the Yoga Slim 7 Pro X costs $1,499 (about Rs. 1,37,300). (roughly Rs. 1,14,400).

Meanwhile, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon costs $1,299 (about Rs. 99,100), while the Yoga Slim 7 Pro and Yoga Slim 7i Pro cost $1,499 (approximately Rs. 1,14,400) and $1,599 (approximately Rs. 1,22,000), respectively. The Lenovo Yoga 7 is yet to be priced, as it will not be offered in the United States.
