Noussair Mazraoui has verbally agreed his contract with Bayern Munich, and all that remains now is for him to sign the deal. The club are ready to get in touch with him as soon as possible to finalise the transfer, which has been agreed for weeks.

The right-back’s contract with Ajax runs out at the end of the season, and he is getting ready to leave the club as a free agent. He will be a key addition for Julian Nagelsmann’s squad, which requires competition and backup for Benjamin Pavard, the current starting right-back for the club.

Previously, the Moroccan was in talks with Barcelona for a potential transfer. But now, Bayern Munich have swooped in and want to complete the deal alongside that of Ryan Gravenberch.

Noussair Mazraoui is now avoiding bids from other clubs so that he can follow through on the agreement that he had with the German giants recently. Manchester United also made a last ditch effort to sign the player, considering that current Ajax manager Erik Ten Hag will take over the club next season.

However, the 24-year-old does not feel that he could win trophies with Manchester United, and that joining Bayern Munich would be a better option for his career. So, a move to Bavaria will be made formal in the coming weeks once the season is close to ending.
