Spanish football club giants Real Madrid have recently secured La Liga 2021/22 title, as they have extended their record to win most La Liga trophies to 35 times. In this article, we are pointing out some powerful factors that helped Real Madrid to win the record-breaking 35th La Liga title.

Despite some major changes in the complete squad in the early of this season, Los Blancos were still one of the favourite clubs to win the La Liga title.

During the last summer transfer, Real Madrid not only lost their highly experienced defenders Sergio Ramos (contract ended) and Raphael Varane (transferred to Manchester United), but the three-time UEFA Champions League-winning manager Zinedine Zidane also left his second-term managerial post of the club just after the end of the previous trophyless season.

Apart from bringing some top footballers into the club, the Madrid-based club also brought back another three-time UEFA Champions League-winning manager Carlo Ancelotti. The popular Italian manager’s present contract with the Whites will run till 2023/24 season.

From the very beginning of this La Liga season, Los Blancos completely dominated as the other teams have always felt very hard to challenge them in the points table.

Real Madrid has secured their 35th La Liga title on the game week 34 when they thrashed Espanyol by 4-0 at home. They have now earned 81 points in 34 matches (25 wins, six draws and three losses). The Whites are at least 15 points ahead of others in the ongoing La Liga points table.

Now, Los Merengues can put their entire focus on the UEFA Champions League 2021/22 as they are battling in the semi-final against the Premier League club Manchester City.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti strongly managed Real Madrid in the La Liga 2021/22

Italian football manager Carlo Ancelotti is very popular in European football. Whether he is in Italy or England or France or Germany or Spain, his teams always dream of the trophies. Before this season, the three-time UCL winning manager already tasted first division league successes in Italy, England, France and Germany. Now, after Real Madrid’s 35th La Liga title, Ancelotti became the first manager to win all the top five European leagues.

Experienced Ancelotti’s 4-3-3 attacking formation has once again proved powerful for his team. The entire team has maintained powerful discipline during the entire season.

Unstoppable Karim Benzema

French striker Karim Benzema is currently performing so powerful on the field that many believe he deserves Ballon d’Or 2022. The 34-year-old is way ahead of others in the list of most goals in the ongoing La Liga season. While he has scored 26 goals in this La Liga season (including one hat-trick), the second most goal-scoring record in the same list is 15. Moreover, Benzema is also jointly leading the table of most assists in the running La Liga season with 11.

In the last four seasons, Benzema has performed consistently, but he is now just firing on the field as he has already scored 42 goals in this complete European season. Most teams have no clue to stop this experienced French footballer. Surely, he is still a big asset to this team as he is only growing up with age.

Atletico Madrid and Barcelona failed to put up a strong fight

The defending La Liga champions Atletico Madrid has failed to maintain consistency since the beginning of this season. Especially, the Colchoneros had a very average record in their away matches of this La Liga season.

On the other hand, Barcelona hugely struggled in the first half of this season. Though they have maintained incredible consistency in the second half of this season, including beating the hosts Real Madrid by 4-0, it was too late to challenge their arch-rivals.

In the recent La Liga competition, only Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have strongly challenged Real Madrid in the title contest. As both the other teams had inconsistent records since the early of this La Liga season, the Whites have comfortably maintained their top spots in the points table without any massive headache.

In football, a team regularly can’t dominate by only depending on a few top players. Real Madrid have once again set up a solid and unshakeable team structure to dominate the entire Europe.

Despite missing a top few names in the squad since the beginning of this season, Los Blancos have mostly managed to bring up the powerful team game on the field. Most of their players have successfully managed to perform consistently on the field.

In the ongoing La Liga season, while Benzema won the Player of the Month award in September, winger Vinícius Júnior and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois won the same award in November and February respectively. Apart from this highly consistent trio, we have also experienced regular top performances from other teammates.
