TATA’s Nexon EV has been in the news since January 2022, the long-range model has been spotted once again in Pune on the road. The car was covered in zebra camouflage. TATA is expected to launch this car in May of 2022.
The differences between the brand new and standard versions of the Nexon EV include a set of new alloys and rear disc brakes. Apart from this, the model that was spotted on-road looks similar to the regular version of the Nexon EV. So we can rule out any significant design changes.
In all likelihood, TATA will equip the long-range Nexon EV with a bigger, 40kWh battery pack, that will power a 136PS electric motor. The standard model arrives with a 129PS/245Nm electric motor and a 30.kWh battery pack along with a range of 312KM.
The long-range Nexon EVs cabin will be similar to the regular model’s interior with the exception of the upholstery. Features such as a 7″ touch display, auto AC, single-pane sunroof, and a semi-digital instrument cluster are most likely to be retained.
TATA could offer the Nexon EV 2022 long-range model with ventilated front seats, an air purifier, and an auto-dimming IRVM, as seen on the standard SUVs Kaziranga Edition. Electronic stability control and cruise control are also a part of the mix.
The long-range Nexon EV will cost more than the existing model, it will retail from 14.54 lakh INR to 17.15 lakh INR ex-showroom value in Delhi. It will be more affordable in comparison to the Hyundai Kona Electric and MG ZS EV.
