AYANEO OLED console teased to launch soon

The handheld console gaming market is booming right now with fierce competition going on among various brands like Valve, AYANEO, ONEXPLAYER, Nintendo and a lot more. Thanks to AMD’s APUs a bunch of handheld consoles have come up in recent years and AYANEO is one of the frontrunners in the race.

Recently, the company has confirmed that they are launching a new console featuring an OLED screen after the recently launched Nintendo Switch OLED became an instant hit in the market. This will bear a smaller, thinner and lighter design than the AyaNeo NEXT series but we suspect much like the AyaNeo NEXT, this will too sport AMD Ryzen 5000U series APUs.

The recently launched AMD Ryzen 6000 series codenamed “Rembrandt” will be too soon for AYANEO to bring to its new handheld console. While its CEO Arthur Zhang has recently tweeted a lot of its new OLED handheld console and confirmed that it will weigh less than 500 grams.

Its CEO has even confirmed that the OLED display will make a difference when it comes to handheld gaming because this new AYANEO OLED will feature a display with a 109% NTSC wide color gamut. The console itself has been shared by the CEO of AYANEO and he brags about how thin the upcoming OLED handheld will be.

So, given the size and rumours surrounding this new OLED console, Videocardz suspects the power draw will be limited to 12W and so it could feature a Ryzen 3 5400U or 5425U. Again the console will be used the Zen3 microarchitecture and AMD Vega graphics combo as these are quad-core APUs with clock speeds up to 4.1 GHz and 6 Vega Compute Units operating up to 1.9 GHz.

There are even actual images of the console’s gaming performance in four games such as GTA5 or Forza Horizon 5:

Arthur Zhang has even confirmed that it will confirm the official name of this upcoming AYANEO ultra-thin OLED Windows handheld series, and mind it the CEO confirms it will be a series of consoles with a new product line. While we suspect that this new AyaNeo OLED should be more affordable than AyaNeo Next and rumours surround that it will be launching as soon as next month itself but will not be cheap as Steam Deck.
