1. Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli who captained the Bangalore franchise from 2013 to 2021 is the highest run-getter in the league. He accumulated 6283 runs in 199 innings with an average of 37.39 and a strike rate being 129.94. He has smacked 5 hundred and 42 half-centuries in the league so far. He scored 4 tons came in the 2016 season where he slammed record 973 runs.

Indian ODI opener Shikhar Dhawan is grabbed the second spot of this list. He has 5784 runs to his name with an average of 34.84 and a strike rate is 126.64. He played a crucial role in the last two-three seasons for Delhi Capitals. Currently, he’s playing for Punjab Kings in IPL.

3. Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is a fantastic batter as well apart from being a good skipper. He has scored 5611 runs, the third-most in IPL history, in 208 innings played in the league at an average of 31.17 and strike rate of 130.39. He has 1 hundred and 40 half-centuries. He is the opening batter of MI since 2019.

4. Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina is the fourth-highest run-getter with 5528 runs in 200 innings at an average of 32.51 and a strike rate of 136.73. He has contributed highly in CSK but before the auction, CSK had decided not to retain the left-handed batter. He remained unsold in the IPL Auction 2022.

5. David Warner

David Warner is the fifth-highest run-getter in IPL and the leading run-scorer among the overseas players. He has mustered 5449 runs in 150 innings at an average of 41.59 and a strike rate being 139.96. He has 4 centuries and 50 half-centuries in his pocket. He was purchased by Delhi Capitals for  INR 6.25 crores in the mega auction.
