Marco Asensio attracting strong interest from AC Milan over summer 2022 transfer

Real Madrid attacking midfielder Marco Asensio is attracting serious interest from AC Milan regarding a transfer in the summer. The player only has one year left on his current deal with the Spanish giants, and it expires at the end of the 22/23 season.

As a result, Real Madrid will have to sell him in the summer unless they can extend his contract. In case neither solution is possible, Asensio could leave for free at the end of his contract in June 2023.

AC Milan in talks with Real Madrid already about Marco Asensio

According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, AC Milan have offered a €5 million per season deal to the player’s agent for a move. The contract offer is close to what he is earning currently with Los Blancos.

However, Marco Asensio is looking for a financial offer in the region of €7-8 million if he is to part ways with Real Madrid. Several Premier League clubs are also interested in the 26-year-old, alongside the Rossoneri. A reunion with former Real Madrid player Brahim Diaz could also be on the cards if he chooses to move away.

Asensio’s future is yet to be sorted out by the club. He is currently an important part of the front three alongside Vincius Jr and Karim Benzema. But, if Kylian Mbappe joins the club next summer, things could change for him drastically.

So, a transfer to AC Milan would help him earn a more prominent role in the line-up, if that is what he has his eyes on.
