Eden Hazard will be loaned out by Real Madrid before the World Cup

Eden Hazard will be sent out on loan by Real Madrid ahead of the World Cup, as the Belgian winger attempts to restore his career at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid and Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard, who earned Real Madrid over £100 million when he was purchased from Chelsea in 2019, has been hampered by injuries throughout his time in Spain and is once again on the sidelines. He has only played 877 minutes of club football this season and has only started nine games for the LaLiga leaders.

He will skip the rest of the season due to surgery to remove a titanium osteosynthesis plate implanted in his right fibula to treat a shinbone fracture he sustained. Eden Hazard, 31, is hoping that after this latest operation, he will be injury-free and ready to go next season.

However, as per the Spanish publication Diario AS, he may not play for Madrid in 2022-23. They claim that with Vinicius Junior in such terrific form and nearly untouchable, as well as the possibility of Kylian Mbappe joining from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, Hazard has little chance of playing regularly.

Reason to Loan out Eden Hazard

The goal is to send the Belgian out on loan so that he may restore form and fitness by playing frequently elsewhere and be ready to represent Belgium in Qatar in November and December. Real Madrid will also be able to cut their pay bill by loaning Hazard out for at least part of next season. Hazard makes roughly £400,000 per week, more than anyone else in the club.

Eden Hazard is eager to return to full fitness in time for the World Cup. Roberto Martinez left the 116-cap player out of his latest team for friendlies against the Republic of Ireland and Burkina Faso last week.

And it’s thought that, rather than warming the bench at Real, he’ll focus his mind and agree to a loan move to play frequently and earn a spot in the Belgian World Cup team.

Since joining Real from Chelsea, he has only appeared 65 times for the club, scoring six goals and providing ten assists in what has mostly been three seasons of injury agony. His contract runs out in the summer of 2024, and a successful loan spell might increase his value if Real decides to sell next year.
