Sergio Aguero claims he’s thinking about returning to football and says he’s already been approached by one team

Sergio Aguero, a former Barcelona and Manchester City striker, has hinted at a possible return to football. In December 2021, the 33-year-old striker declared his retirement from the sport.

Aguero Returning to Football

After his contract with City expired last summer, the Argentine joined Barcelona on a free transfer. After suffering chest pain and breathing problems during Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Alaves in October, he was forced to leave the field.

Three months after being diagnosed with heart arrhythmia, he declared his retirement from football. The former Manchester City player recently said that he is considering a comeback to the game and has already got an offer from a club.

Aguero told TYC Sports: ” Yesterday, it crossed my mind that I could play again. Inter Miami called me but I refused. In two years? Let’s see. The doctors told me that I have to spend five or six months without activity, but I already want to train again! “

During his tenure at Manchester City, Sergio Aguero was widely regarded as one of the best strikers of his period. In 390 games for the Premier League giants, he scored 260 goals and guided them to four league titles, six EFL Cups, and an FA Cup.

Aguero Might Join Messi

Inter Miami is interested in bringing Lionel Messi to the team, according to Mundo Deportivo. The former Manchester City striker claimed that he has got an offer from the Major League Soccer club that is partly owned by David Beckham, who played for Manchester United. There’s a potential that Aguero and Messi will be reunited if that happens.

Last summer, the 33-year-old moved to Barcelona in the hopes of playing alongside his close friend and international teammate Lionel Messi. Due to the Spanish club’s inability to finance his salaries, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner was forced to terminate his contract and become a free agent.

Lionel Messi joined PSG on a free transfer and signed a two-year contract. This season has been difficult for the 34-year-old in the French metropolis. In 18 Ligue 1 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino’s team, he has only two goals. In the summer of 2023, the former Barcelona star is likely to leave the French giants. Inter Miami has surfaced as a possible destination for the attacking midfielder.
