FIFA have unveiled Indian EdTech company Byju’s as their official sponsor for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The company is the first ever Indian brand to partner up with FIFA as the sponsor for the biggest sporting spectacle in the world.

With a global footprint in over 120 companies, Byju’s has experienced astronomical growth in recent years. Their services range from helping learners study modules upto high school, and competitive exam levels.

Byju’s are the official partners for FIFA World Cup 2022

“FIFA is dedicated to harnessing the power of football towards the goal of enacting positive societal change. We’re delighted to be partnered with a company like BYJU’S, which is also engaging communities and empowering young people wherever they may be in the world,” said Kay Madati, FIFA’s Chief Commercial Officer.

“We look forward to supporting the promotion of BYJU’S educational learning opportunities, as well as having them join the global drumbeat of excitement for the FIFA World Cup 2022 through its association with this groundbreaking tournament,” he added.

Byju’s will be able to use the emblem, image and likeness of the World Cup logo to create promotions for the event. There are also plans to create an activation plan, containing educational content for young learners.

While it is a matter of great pride for the Indian company to represent their company as sponsors of the World Cup, there is a lot of controversy surrounding Qatar as the host of the tournament. The primary reason behind it is the gross amount of human rights violation that has taken place in constructing the stadia and facilities to host the matches and spectators.
