With the win against Brighton, Harry Kane establishes a new Premier League record

With his side’s 2-0 victory over Brighton on Wednesday night, Tottenham Hotspurs talisman Harry smashed the Premier League record for most away goals.

Breaking the Premier League Record

Kane should have scored his match-winning goal far earlier in the game. Despite getting space to round the goalie and face an empty net, the striker stole the ball from Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez in the fifth minute and dragged his effort wide.

Dejan Kulusevski, a new acquisition, made numerous solid contributions, including a significant role in the opening goal, when his powerful drive was deflected in by Cristian Romero.

After getting onto a through pass and racing into the box just before halftime, the former Juventus winger was at it again. However, Sanchez in the Brighton goal saved his strike. The second half proceeded in the same manner as the first, with Tottenham attempting to strike the decisive blow to their opponents.

Their legendary striker arrived just before the hour mark to do what he does well. Rodrigo Bentancur finished a midfield move with an inch-perfect pass to Kane, who controlled the ball before calmly putting it past Sanchez with his left foot.

Kane in the Second Half

During his celebration, the forward caught a bottle thrown at him with a good volley, indicating that he was still in a goalscoring mood. With his second-half goal, he now has 95 Premier League goals in 139 appearances away from home, surpassing Wayne Rooney as the competition’s all-time best scorer in away games despite making 104 fewer appearances.

Kane also passed another milestone with that goal, passing Frank Lampard for seventh place on the all-time Premier League goals record with 178. The score stayed 2-0, and Antonio Conte would be pleased with his team’s performance away from home. When Tottenham takes on West Ham on Sunday, Kane will be looking to add to his seven goals this season.
