Erling Haaland’s €80m move to be finalised in the coming weeks

Borussia Dortmund expect Erling Haaland to join Manchester City in the summer transfer window. The Premier League champions are emerging as the key competitors for his signature, and could become the favourites in a matter of weeks.

The final decision will not be announced right now, since an agreement needs to be reached on personal terms as well. According to reports, Manchester City are preparing to make Haaland one of the best-paid players in the English top flight with a £500k per week contract

The final decision will be based on the club’s project, sporting direction and the manager of the first team.

Erling Haaland to announce final transfer decision soon

With Barcelona steering clear of any big signings in the summer, they might have ruled themselves out of the race for the Norwegian. On the other hand, Real Madrid have Karim Benzema performing at his best in the number 9 role, which would hinder Erling Haaland if he were to join Los Blancos.

As a result, a move to Manchester City seems to be the most logical option for everyone involved since Pep Guardiola doesn’t have a world-class forward since Sergio Aguero’s departure.

The release clause in Haaland’s contract is set at €80 million, and will have to be paid in one installment. This is something that Manchester City will be able to pull off, due to their financial strength. And, the arrival of the goalscoring machine at the Etihad could make them unstoppable for the future.
