“Tokyo Vice”:  The trailer reveals such an Intimate Thriller featuring Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe

HBO Max has dropped the new trailer of Tokyo Vice. It has followed the first look image that also has been revealed back in February.  There is also such an upcoming action thriller series that also has set to premiere in early April.

It has been inspired by the true story and the series also featuring Ansel Elgort as it has been followed the young American journalist who also has been sent to chronicle the everyday activities from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police and also has been ended up uncovering such the shocking information about the Vice squad and also the Yakuza with the Japanese mafia.

Tokyo Vice: Plot

The new trailer also reveals Elgort as Jake. It is about the  American investigative reporter who also ups and moves to the  Japanese metropolis once he has been decided to write about the crime in Japan.

There is also the newcomer as he has not taken much of the very seriously by his peers and there are the things start to change while he has been decided to get to know the “real” Tokyo and also has been soon unveiling about the investigation that may indeed get with very real and that is the reason contains secrets, death threats and also putting life into risk.

It has been considered that the popular movie director Michael  Mann directed the pilot episode and sets the tone of the series and it has been very safe to assume as he will have such no problem making  Tokyo itself with a character and also makes us feel just like we know the city and it is just like did in Miami Vice and Heat.

This Tokyo Vice is created and also written by JK. T, Rogers is a playwright who previously adapted his own play Oslo for the screen. Rogers also based Tokyo Vice on the memoir of that same name by the journalist Jake  Adelstein and also played by Elgort on screen. The cast also features Ken Watanabe and Rinko Kikuchi, Rachel Keller, Ella  Rump, Hideaki Ito, ho Kasamatsu ad also the music star Tomohisa Yamashita.

HBO Max also premieres the first three episodes of Tokyo Vice on 7th April and the two episodes will premiere every Thursday after that all the way through the season finale on 28th April 2022 through June.
