Lucas Torreira could join Fiorentina permanently for €15 million

Fiorentina is happy with Lucas Torreira in their team and has the option to strike a bargain deal for the midfielder. They are currently in talks with Arsenal to make the loan move permanent.

The price tag set for Torreira is at €15 million, and Arsenal is open to letting him go permanently. With both parties happy with the current situation, it seems like a matter of time before the transfer is given the green light by the North London outfit.

Lucas Torreira on the verge of signing for Fiorentina permanently

“I have to find happiness on the pitch. Here I am finding it. The city makes me feel good.

“My future depends on many things: my contract is with Arsenal, they will certainly reach an agreement between the clubs, but I don’t know what will happen. I want to stay focused on this team until the end,” said Torreira, as quoted by Fiorentina.it, via Sport Witness.

The Uruguayan made 89 appearances for Arsenal, and spent last season with Atletico Madrid, helping them win the La Liga title. This year, he is aiming to help Fiorentina return to Europe by potentially earning a top-six finish.

The final decision for Lucas Torreira’s signing could depend on whether or not Fiorentina is able to make it to European competitions. For Arsenal, it would cut their losses and add up to around €25 million for the sales of Matteo Guendouzi and Torreira.
