Cristiano Ronaldo leads the all-time goalscoring charts in football with 807 goals

Cristiano Ronaldo became football’s all-time leading goalscorer, netting a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford to give his side three key points. But in doing so, he broke yet another football record, as has been the case throughout his career.

The last time Ronaldo netted a hat-trick in the Premier League for Manchester United was in 2008. And 14 years later, the Portuguese superstar showed up and delivered when his side needed him the most.

Age is not a factor that seems to affect Cristiano Ronaldo’s ability to score goals very much. He might not have the dazzling ability of his younger years, but is still the best finisher in the game.

The 37-year-old scored a screamer in the top corner for the first goal, and broke the all-time goalscoring record with a tap in. After Harry Maguire’s own goal leveled things up, the number 7 scored a thumping header which proved to be the difference maker in the game.

Ronaldo is the all-time leading goalscorer in the Champions League, as well as in international football. He is also the top scorer in all of Real Madrid’s history. The forward is also one of the few footballers to have five Champions League titles to their name.

After missing out on the Manchester derby, Ronaldo returned to score his 59th career hat-trick. And with it, United have temporarily returned to the top four.
