Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly looking to sell the club, owing to the current situation he finds himself in. There were reports that the Russian oligarch had not put up the club for sale, despite stepping aside from ownership and handing over the charge of the club to the stewards.
Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss has revealed that himself, and three other parties have been approached to buy the club. This is the first time that Abramovich has considered selling the club in over 20 years in charge as the owner.

Hansjorg Wyss, valued at over £4 billion, is the founder of Synthes USA, which is a medical device manufacturer.
“Abramovich is trying to sell all his villas in England. He also wants to get rid of the club quickly. I and three other people received an offer on Tuesday to buy Chelsea from Abramovich.

“I have to wait four or five days now. Abramovich is currently asking for too much. You know, Chelsea owe him £2bn.
“As of today, we don’t know the exact selling price. I can well imagine starting ownership with partners. But I have to examine the general conditions first.
“Like all oligarchs, he is in a panic,” Wyss told Swiss newspaper Blick.
“Abramovich is trying to sell all his villas in England. He also wants to get rid of Chelsea quickly. I and three other people received an offer on Tuesday to buy Chelsea from Abramovich.
“I have to wait four or five days now. Abramovich is currently asking for too much. You know, Chelsea owe him £2bn.

“But what I can already say, I’m definitely not doing something like this alone.
“If I buy the club, then with a consortium consisting of six or seven investors.”
