The Semifinals and Finals dates for the Hero ISL have been confirmed. The final will take place on March 20, with the semifinals taking place on March 11, 12, and March 15 and 16. About the Semi-Finals

On Friday, March 11, and Saturday, March 12, the first-leg Semi-finals will be contested. On Tuesday, March 15, and Wednesday, March 16, the return legs are scheduled. The Hero ISL Final will be held on Sunday, March 20 at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda, Goa.

Nine teams are still in contention to proceed to the ISL Semi-finals in one of the most competitive seasons in the league’s history. The ISL season 2021-22 has been the most competitive to date. There is only a 19-point difference between the current top-placed team, Hyderabad FC (29), and 11th-placed NorthEast United FC (10).

This season, the ‘Away Goal’ rule will not apply in the Semi-finals. The teams with the highest goal total in their two-legged ties will advance to the final. On March 7, the League phase will end. The League Shield will be awarded to the team that finishes first in the table, earning them a direct group-stage admission into the AFC Champions League next season.

Hero ISL 2021-22 Semi-Finals and Final dates:

  • Friday, March 11: Semi-final 1 – 1st leg
  • Saturday, March 12: Semi-final 2 – 1st leg
  • Tuesday, March 15: Semi-final 1 – 2nd leg
  • Wednesday, March 16: Semi-final 2 – 2nd leg
  • Sunday, March 20: Final
