Alienware finally reveals the price updates for its AW3423DW 34-inch QD-OLED monitor

Remember Alienware’s announcement of a 34-inch QD-OLED monitor at CES 2022 earlier this year? Although there is still no set availability date, the corporation has finally determined how much it would charge for it.

The AW3423DW is $100 more expensive than the AW3821DW, which has a 38-inch Nano IPS panel with a resolution of 3840×1600 instead of the AW3423DW’s 34-inch QD-OLED display with a resolution of 3440×1440.

The two display technologies are not comparable. Still, it does provide some insight into how much more expensive QD-OLED will be in the beginning compared to more traditional display technologies. G-Sync Ultimate is included on both monitors, so Dell hasn’t tried to cut any corners here.

Although the AW3423DW has a higher refresh rate of 175 Hz than 144 Hz for the AW3821DW, which may be an advantage, the official HDR certification is only HDR 400 versus HDR 600 despite Dell’s promises of 1000 cd/m2.

The AW3423DW’s black levels and color gamut, on the other hand, should be far superior. The display is expected to be accessible in early spring, likely first in the United States.
