Nubia Z40 Pro will be the first device to debut the Sony IMX787 sensor

The Nubia Z40 Pro along with the vanilla variant is expected to launch very soon, and ahead of it, Nubia has been busy teasing the device. The highlight of the Pro model is the rear camera module, which was earlier equipped with the first 35mm custom lens.

A tipster has now revealed that the camera sensor that will be backing the lens in question will again be the first in the industry. Panda is Bald, via Weibo has communicated that the Nubia Z40 Pro will feature the Sony IMX787 camera sensor and it will actually be the first to do so.

Looking at the model number of the device, the sensor will be one of the most premium camera sensors from Sony. The unit will be capable of clicking 50MP images with an aperture of f/1.6 and paired with an f,1.13″ outsole.

Previously, it was revealed that the Nubia Z40 Pro will be equipped with the industry’s first “custom 35mm optical master lens.” This is considered an ideal focal length for events, portraits, street photography, and the like.

It is also known that the device will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip that will be cooled by new aerospace-grade heat dissipation materials.

The Nubia Z40 Pro had made an appearance on Geekbench where it achieved a single-core score of 1228 and a multi-core score of 3379. The Nubia Z40 Series is expected to arrive with a periscope telephoto lens along with amazing starry sky photography capabilities.
