The game between two of the best teams in the division was as close as it gets, from stats to events on the pitch, they were matched on all fronts. Hyderabad FC had a number of mighty close chances to get on the scoresheet before their opponents but was unlucky to not see them end up at the back of the net.
They pulled one back late in the game, but it was not enough to turn around the deficit.
Liston Colaco steps up against his former club
The speedster was named the Hero of the Match for his display against his former club. Colaco scored a remarkable goal, cutting in from the left wing to open the scoring after making a signature darting run on the break. He has been the top Indian performer this season and seems set to be a big name in Indian football in the upcoming years.
ATK Mohun Bagan blow title race wide open
Hyderabad FC had the chance to go six points clear of the rest of the division heading into the game. But, with the loss to ATK Mohun Bagan, the title race has been blown wide open, since they remain three points clear at the top.
With the rest of the teams having games in hand, it is still anyone’s race given the unpredictability in the ISL.
