It appears that MSI will be one of several manufacturers to offer a high-end Intel Alder Lake CPU and a discrete Arc Alchemist GPU in their next all-Intel mobility systems. HXL discovered the precise configuration of the Intel CPU and GPU in the Puget Systems benchmark database. The laptop in question was the MSI Summit E16 Flip Evo, which will be released with improved specifications soon. The all-Intel CPU and GPU specs, which include Alder Lake CPU and Arc Alchemist Discrete GPU, are what strike out the most.
To begin with, we have the Intel Core i7-12700H, which is a high-end 14 core CPU designed for the mobility market. It has a maximum TDP of 115W and a boost clock of up to 4.70 GHz. The CPU isn’t slow, and it’s currently one of the quickest mobile processors available. Then there’s the GPU, which is comprised of the Arc A370M Discrete GPU.
Yesterday, the Intel Arc A370M Discrete GPU, which is based on the Alchemist DG2 graphics architecture, was also disclosed. The Arc A370M GPU will have 128 EUs, while the UHD 770 iGPU on the Core i7-12700H CPU will have 32 EUs. The GPU also comes with 4 GB of GDDR6 memory and a 128-bit bus interface. In terms of speed, the GPU is predicted to be comparable to the GeForce RTX 3050 and quicker than the RX 6500M, while also incorporating sophisticated RT and XSS technologies.
The MSI Summit E16 Flip Evo laptop also features 32 GB of DDR5-6400 memory and runs Windows 11. It will be a high-end laptop, with a price tag of roughly $1500-$2000 in the United States, according to its specifications. Because the benchmark is primarily CPU-dependent, the performance shown here is comparable to other Core i7-12700H laptops. The A370M matches a laptop setup with the RTX 3080 Ti, which is immediately noticeable. In the coming months, expect more information about laptops powered by Intel Alder Lake and Arc Alchemist.
